RLJE Films & Shudder Acquire North American Rights to “SEANCE”

RLJE Films, a business unit of AMC Networks, and Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thriller and the supernatural, have acquired the North American rights to the horror film, SEANCE. RLJE Films plans to release the film in theaters, On Demand and Digital on May 21, 2021 and Shudder will premiere the film on its platform later in the year. Shudder has also acquired UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand rights.

David Oyelwo’s Feature Directorial Debut “THE WATER MAN” Sets Worldwide Distribution

David Oyelwo’s family adventure film, THE WATER MAN, has been acquired by RLJE Films, a business unit of AMC Networks, for North America, and by Netflix for the rest of the world. The film is the directorial debut of acclaimed actor David Oyelowo (Selma), which he also stars in, and is produced by Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Films, ShivHans Pictures, and Yoruba Saxon. In North America the film is expected to be released day-and-date in theaters and VOD on May 7, 2021 and Netflix will release the film internationally later this year.  The film had its world premiere at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival to much critical praise and also opened this year’s Urbanworld Film Festival.

Review – 365 Days (2020)

Like Cats, the Twilight Saga and Movie 43 –I’ve put myself through some real shit haven’t I – I only watched 365 Days because of the bad reviews, with some calling it a worse version of 50 Shades Of Grey. Curiosity slowly grew on me until I figured I’d better make my own judgement to see why people were shitting on this so hard.

Turns out it’s a rape fantasy and that might be why.
