Review – Barbie (2023)

by Kevin Muller

As with this year’s The Super Mario Brothers, you can say the title character’s name Barbie and everyone, boys or girls, will know who you are talking about. While there have been countless animated films, this is her first foray into live action. Greta Gerwig oversees directing duties, while she shares a writing credit with her real-life partner Noah Baumbach. Four years ago, she put her own spin on the classic tale Little Women, too much success. Is she capable of bringing her skill to make this long-awaited film work?

Review – The Flash (2023)

by Kevin Muller

After years in development, countless directors, and other factors, The Flash has finally arrived in theaters. This is one of the final films in old DC cinematic universe, which will reset in 2025, under the guidance of the new DC head James Gunn. Se7en with Kevin – April Movie Reviews

By Kevin Muller

1.  My Policeman – (2.5 out of 5) – The second movie in 2022 that starred musical sensation Harry Styles took a familiar story of a forbidden romance, this time two men in love, and creates one of the duller films of the year. It wasn’t a terrible film, but one that just felt like it existed with nothing that made it stand out. Kudos to Styles, who fully committed to the role and all that came with it. Unlike most musicians who try to cross over to the big screen, he can act. The cinematography was also beautiful to behold too.

By Kevin Muller

The classic board game has been a staple in people’s lives for over fifty years. Even Netflix Stranger Things popularized it by having it be a bonding experience between the characters. Dungeons & Dragons is the ultimate test of skill amongst its followers.  Those same followers were let down with a crappy 2000 adaptation of the game. Now, it is getting a second chance with equal talent in front of the camera and behind it. Is this one a perfect dice role?
