In the last seventeen years, we have had three different iterations of the Caped Crusader. From 2005-2012, director Christopher Nolan, and his Batman, Christian Bale, delivered us an extremely grounded tale of one man’s fight to keep his beloved city safe. Then there was the whole debacle with director Zack Synder, and his Batman, Ben Affleck, that alienated many fans. Batman was more of a supporting character in those films. Affleck tried to do a solo project, but that fizzled out. Now, director Matt Reeves, who gave us 2 out of 3 of the current Planet of the Apes films, steps up to the plate, along with Robert Pattinson, who becomes “The Batman.”
A sadistic serial killer known as The Riddler sends Gotham City into chaos and it’s up to The Batman to put an end to his killing spree in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Watch Logan and Henry answer the bat signal and review the film in the video above.

The End Of Tom King’s ‘Batman’ Run

With issue #85, Tom King’s run with the Caped Crusader has ended. There have been mixed emotions around his exit. Some people are thankful because they felt he had run his course, but others enjoyed him and what he brought to the table. Personally, I loved (almost) everything that he did for the Bat. So here is my opinion on some of his hits and the rare misses.

The Marvel comic book villain known as Venom first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man comics 30 years ago and now the villain a.k.a anti-hero hits the big screen in his very own movie. Audiences and fans haven’t seen the Venom character in a film since That ’70s Show actor Topher Grace portrayed him in Sam Raimi’s 2007s Spider-Man 3. Venom felt like an afterthought in Spider-Man 3, which left a sour taste in mind for some fans. I am a huge fan of the character Spider-Man and I’ve grown up with the character. Such as growing up with Sam Raimi’s trilogy and being an avid reader of the character in the comics to this day. I also grew up with superhero films like Ang Lee’s 2003 film Hulk and Halle Berry’s 2004 Catwoman. The 90s and early 2000s were a time when a large portion of superhero films used the popularity of a character to make a profit and they cared very little about the source material, comics, and even the fans. Tom Hardy in 2018s Venom feels like a superhero movie from the early 2000s and it’s a superhero film in the wrong place at the wrong time.
