Halloween is around the corner and the horror genre is making a giant comeback with many independent films being released to larger theaters across the world. From the general consensus, horror is here to stay with many films and TV Shows using nostalgic elements to draw the audience in and never let them go. What makes these types of films compelling is the thought process, direction, practical effects, and originality. As a huge fan of this genre, I also really appreciate newer concepts and incorporating factual events into a film that will set itself apart from other movies that play it safe.

The film was directed by Hèctor Hernández Vicens (The Corpse of Anna Fritz) and was written by Mark Tonderai (House at the End of the Street, Hush) and Lars Jacobson (Baby Blues).

Here we go again folks, another zombie flick, and another found footage film. A zombie film and a found footage horror flick may not tickle the fancy of a majority of horror fans anymore. I mean, what else can be done in the genres? It feels like we’ve seen it all when it comes to found footage and brain eating zombies.
I personally like zombie movies, and found footage does have a special place in my heart. But lately the two genres have not been doing it for me, and they do not enthuse me like they used to.
