Review – Sausage Party

It is not often that we as an audience get an R rated animated film in theaters. Studios are typically hesitant when one of these films gets thrown on their desk, and it takes an incredibly strong pitch for them to see the light of day. This is why the trailer for Sausage Party seemed like a breath of fresh air when it was released a few months ago. It seemed like a wholly original and potentially shocking film. After finally seeing Sausage Party, this writer can certainly say it is a unique and shocking film, just not in a positive way.

Review – Keanu

With Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele’s successful television show coming to an end, it was only a matter of time before we saw them branch out to other projects. While they both have tendencies to make smaller appearances in their friends’ television and movie projects, Keanu marks their first project together on the big screen.

As Netflix continues to produce more original content, they are beginning to attract bigger. Hollywood names to be part of their projects. The Ranch is the newest of those products. The Ranch features the reunion of That 70’s Show stars, Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson, as well as legendary tough guy Sam Elliott as a broken family who comes together to save the ranch they grew up on.

Review – Daredevil, Season 2

Following a stellar debut for Marvel on Netflix with the first season of Daredevil, the legendary comic book company ups the ante by adding the Punisher to the mix for the show’s second outing.

The first season of Daredevil gave us a grittier and more down-to-Earth level of hero than the MCU had previously given us. It was praised for being more realistic and showing a darker side of Marvel. Season two immediately takes the brutality to another level upon the Punisher’s introduction.
