When there is an assassination attempt on U.S. President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman), his trusted confidant, Secret Service Agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler), is wrongfully accused and taken into custody. Halloween producer/creator John Carpenter and Blumhouse have confirmed back-to-back sequels to Halloween (2018). Halloween Kills will be released on October 16, 2020 and Halloween Ends on October 15, 2021. The two films will be shot back-to-back this fall, with David Gordon Green returning to the Director’s chair.

My personal favorite time of the year is upon us. These next few months will present us with movies that will provide escape, but most will be running for Oscar gold come February 2019. This list contains films from both groups.
