’31 Days of Horror’ is back and the Cinephellas Podcast  is back and they’re both here to help kick off the 2020 Halloween season! On this episode, Nile Fortner speaks with scream queen, horror icon, Emmy Winner, the legendary and lovely, Lin Shaye. Lin discusses with Nile her new film The Call, which follows a group of friends in 1987 who tormented an elderly woman suspected to be a witch. Once she dies, the friends agree to a 60-second phone call that’s in the elderly woman’s casket. However, someone on the other line picks up. Lin also discusses with Nile, what it was like working with Saw’s Tobin Bell, would she ever consider directing a horror film, and more on this podcast episode.

Review – Creepshow (2019) : Season 1

Let me start off this review with a confession; I have not seen the original Creepshow. I’ve seen clips from it, mostly regarding cockroaches and country bumpkin accent, but I’ve never found the opportunity to see the full film. That being said, I’m aware of its cult status and when news came about of an anthology series from Greg Nicotero, I took interest. I’ve been familiar with Nicotero’s work on The Walking Dead and with TV often outclassing films for production values, the Creepshow series had a lot of promise.

The Intensity of Saw comes to Outer Space in Project Ithaca

Trapped. No way out. Searching for a crevice, but the walls are dark and no one has a clue how they got there in the first place. Project Ithaca finds five strangers on an alien spaceship, an alien spaceship that runs on their fear. The strangers are trapped and they soon realize that this species has been abducting humans for possibly centuries.
