Review – The Ranch

As Netflix continues to produce more original content, they are beginning to attract bigger. Hollywood names to be part of their projects. The Ranch is the newest of those products. The Ranch features the reunion of That 70’s Show stars, Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson, as well as legendary tough guy Sam Elliott as a broken family who comes together to save the ranch they grew up on.

Review – The Jungle Book (2016)

In these days, CGI, or computer generated imagery, is so common that we actually yearn and gravitate towards old school practical effects.   Spike Jonze adapted the famous children’s book “Where the Wild Things Are” using people in giant costumes to portray his monsters instead of fully rendering them with computer graphics and the original “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, definitely not “The Hobbit” movies, used as little CGI as possible.   Every so often, a movie comes along that pushes the bar further for what CGI is really capable of achieving.  Jon Favreau’s “The Jungle Book” is that very movie.  It is a visual masterpiece and a great retelling of the famous Disney cartoon.

HBO has today confirmed July debut dates for their upcoming limited series The Night Of, and the new series Vice PrincipalsThe Night Of will premiere Sunday, July 10 at 9:00pm ET/PTand Vice Principals will debut Sunday, July 17 at 10:00pm ET/PT.

VICE PRINCIPALS kicks off its nine-episode season SUNDAY, JULY 17 (10:30-11:00 p.m.). Created by Danny McBride and Jody Hill, who also created “Eastbound & Down,” this dark comedy series tells the story of a high school and the two people who almost run it, the vice principals. McBride and Walton Goggins star as the two administrators, who are in an epic power struggle, vying for the top spot: to be school principal.
