The Stiffmeister is more stabby than you’ll remember in Bloodline. Sean William Scott and Blumhouse are here with Bloodline. A horror movie that follows Seann William Scott as a Evan, a social worker haunted by dark childhood memories and first-time daddy, that has revenge on the mind. In this interview for The Cinephellas Podcast, Nile Fortner speaks with the director of Bloodline, Henry Jacobson. Where Jacobson talks about his documentary style influencing his horror, working with Sean William Scott, and more.
“Evan (Seann William Scott) values family above all else, and anyone who gets between him, his wife, and newborn son learns that the hard way. But when it comes to violent tendencies, it seems the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

I might have eventually got around to watching the first Happy Death Day, but amazingly enough it was the announcement of the sequel title, Happy Death Day 2U that made me seek it out because I figured a sequel title with that level of tongue-in-cheek humor must be alright. I really enjoyed the first movie thanks largely in part to Jessica Rothe’s star-making performance, so I was all in for the sequel and having now seen it, I’m happy to say it lives up to the original, not better, but if you liked the first then there’s every chance you’ll like this one too.
Ever since Groundhog Day, time-loop movies have had to deal with the comparison and indeed when it was advertised, Happy Death Day looked like Groundhog Day: Slasher Style, and while that did turn out to be true, it also got some good reviews calling it an entertaining horror/comedy. With the sequel getting an official release date a few days ago, I decided to kick off this year’s October viewings with this flick and see if it was as fun as advertised.
Logan Myerz unboxes the UPGRADE Blu-Ray that was released on August 28th.
