ScreamFest Film Festival 2017 First Wave Lineup!
On behalf of the Screamfest Horror Film Festival, we are pleased to share with you the first wave of the 2017 lineup and the festival ambassador announcement. The festival will run from October 10-19, 2017 at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood. Film festival badges are currently on sale to the general public at www.ScreamfestLA.com and individual film tickets will be available soon. Actor and producer Dominic Monaghan will serve as ambassador for the festival.

The Avengers of Netflix are Here!
Now for years I’ve been a fanboy of Marvel, everything from the comics, movies, and even Marvel working with Disney. I love Marvel, and Marvel can do no wrong, unless your name is Iron Fist. Iron Fist was the last Netflix original series, and some people thought the show wasn’t that good, I personally didn’t hate it. In my opinion, it was just a bland “white yogurt” of a series.
I have enjoyed most of these original Netflix Marvel series that all take place in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), I especially love Daredevil and Luke Cage. When Marvel decided to work with Netflix, all my nerd juices boiled up in my body and unleashed a good ol’ fashion geekgasm. It was such a great idea, because it takes place in the MCU, brings new traffic to Netflix, sets a new tone for this universe, and it’s an opportunity for our smaller scale superheroes to shine and all eventually come together as one big superhero team up.
Review – Wind River (2017)
Taylor Sheridan has made a big name for himself as a screenwriter with only Sicario and Hell Or High Water under his belt. Now with his directorial debut, Wind River, Sheridan has proven himself as one of the more interesting voices of modern cinema and someone unafraid to touch upon darker subject of America.
Set in and around the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming, Wildlife hunter Cary Lambert (Jeremy Renner) is called by his ex-wife’s father-in-law to deal with a lion that’s been killing his livestock when he comes across the body of Natalie Hanson (Kelsey Chow), an 18 year old resident on the reservation the best friend of Lambert’s deceased daughter Emily. With signs of sexual assault on the body, the police call the FBI however the only person available is rookie agent Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olson) in Las Vegas who is unfamiliar with the location or the cold.
