Los Angeles-based Dark Star Pictures and horror leader Bloody Disgusting are set to host a groundbreaking weekend event from Friday, January 22 to Sunday, January 24, 2021, celebrating the distributor’s most recent acclaimed international genre offerings. The lineup will feature selections from Sundance, Fantasia, Nightstream, and Cinepocalypse, including PVT CHAT, Koko-Di Koko-Da, Jumbo, Attack of the Demons, Dirty God, and Climate of the Hunter.
BUSHWICK first premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2017 and will play the Cannes Film Festival tonight. The film stars Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect), Angelic Zambrana (Precious), and Jeremie Harris (“Legion”). BUSHWICK was directed by Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott and written by Nick Damici and Graham Reznick.

After much hype from Sundance, where it won both the Grand Jury and Audience awards, Nate Parker’s “The Birth of a Nation” has finally dropped upon us. How well will the true story of a slave who decides that enough is enough and decides to have a mini uprising, that resulted in the death of many innocent whites play with audiences? Parker, who is the writer, director, and star, has said this was a passion project for him. It was one that took him close to a decade to bring to the big screen. Was all his hustle and hard work worth it?
The Sci-fi channel or as they call it today, SyFy, was a huge part of my childhood and teenage years. Shows such as Farscape and Stargate SG-1 took my mind away from the normal everyday life into new and exciting galactic adventures that every fan like myself couldn’t stop watching. Ben Browder is one of the few actors that is able to transition into many different characters through television and film that really makes him a stand out actor and one to keep your eye on. I am not only a huge fan of his work, but I am also inspired by his project choices and his humble charisma. He is an actor that cares about his craft and works extremely hard to portray that in every project he is associated with.
Today, I get to sit down and talk with Ben about his newest film, Outlaws and Angels, a western film about outlaws that overrun an honest frontier family in New Mexico, and what can ensue when there is bloodshed.
