10.  Forever My Girl

Jessica Rothe is one of the more interesting talents that have come out of Hollywood in the last few years. From Happy Death Day, to her brief stint in La La Land, she is an actress who just has it. Even she couldn’t save this mess of a love story about a selfish musician, who left his pregnant wife at the altar and turned his back on his home town, to chase a life of music, booze, and women. We are presented with so much reason to hate this guy, especially what he did to Rothe’s Josie, but we all know they will end up together. The problem is that she welcomes him back with little to no fight. He uses his fame, charm, and winning looks to melt her into a pool of emotion. Come on, Josie! Put up a better fight than that! But in 2008, Marvel gave us a promise, a post credit scene that nearly everyone missed talking about “The Avengers Initiative,” and with those three words, The MCU was born. 10 years and 19 films later, it has stood out as one of the biggest, possibly even the most successful franchises of all-time and while it hasn’t been perfect all the way, the highs easily outweigh the lows.

And Infinity War might just be the crowning jewel in Marvel’s crown. Continue reading

Review – Black Panther (2018)

by Old King Clancy

The arrival of T’Challa in Civil War was a welcome addition to the MCU and his arc provided the film with a neutral viewpoint away from the already established Captain America and Iron Man. Now with Infinity War looming, the prince of Wakanda has been given his own film to help establish himself and Wakanda into the MCU. The result is one of Marvel’s best, and possibly their most politically important movie to date.
